The energy audit identified 32% in potential cost savings and a reduction of 41% tCO2e in emissions. The installation of a 150 kW ground mounted solar PV system, which we managed, will be a key driver of these cost savings in addition to lighting upgrades, heat pump installation and windows upgrades.

Following an energy audit by Fort Energy, MSA Safety implemented a targeted roof insulation upgrade across more than 1,000m² of office and manufacturing space. Fort Energy managed the project, secured SEAI grant support and delivered annual savings of 70,757 kWh, approximately €24,000 in energy costs and 14 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, while significantly improving employee comfort levels

Based on recommendations from our energy audit, which estimated cost savings of 41% and a reduction of 69% in tCO2e in emissions, we were engaged by this customer to manage several upgrades. These included the installation of new windows, lighting, and electric heating, as well as a solar PV system and improved insulation for their building. Additionally, we oversaw the installation of both AC and DC electric vehicle chargers.

Design, build and manage EV charging projects across Ireland including supporting with SEAI and other government agency grant applications which can cover up to 80% of the costs. Full details on our EV charging services and available grants can be found on our EV charging page.

We conducted a comprehensive energy audit of all Wildlands facilities and identified potential cost savings of 17% as well as 23% on tCO2e in emissions. One of our key recommendations was the installation of a 50 kWp solar PV system, for which we led the project management.

The energy audit we conducted across the whole resort including analysing lighting, heating, electricity, kitchen operations and adventure centre activities identified 32% potential cost savings.

Fort Energy supported The Connemara Hamper, an award-winning artisan food shop in Clifden, through the Green for Business programme, completing an energy audit that identified practical opportunities to reduce energy costs and improve operational efficiency. We then subsequently supported the replacement of ageing refrigeration equipment with modern, energy-efficient alternatives. The project included new deli display fridges, freezers and a grab-and-go chill cabinet, addressing energy losses from outdated compressors, worn seals and open refrigeration operating within a heated environment. The project cost was offset by 75% through the Energy Efficiency Grant and overall, the project achieves significant efficiency improvements, reducing energy costs and emissions by over 26% combined across upgraded refrigeration systems.

The Upstairs Downstairs Cafe in Clifden worked with Fort Energy through the Green for Business programme, to get an energy audit completed, which included a recommendation regarding refrigeration upgrades. Following the audit, the cafe then working with Fort Energy successfully secured 75% of the cost of the project through the Energy Efficiency Grant. The funding supported the replacement of outdated refrigeration units and the installation of more efficient kitchen equipment, including a convection oven and induction hobs. The upgrades are estimated to save 4,450 kWh of energy and almost one tonne of CO₂ annually, reducing projected annual energy bills by 30%
